Motivational speaker, positive thought provocateur, and leader of PowerUP, AJ Brown is transforming lives by eliminating imposter syndrome through his motivation and inspirational practices. Brown was the phoenix that rose from the ashes – now it’s your turn to soar.
Change your mindset. Change your life. What if someone told you that your future begins with your next thought? What if someone said that by harnessing the power of your mind, you could change the programming and rewrite your subconscious programs to form a solid path on this rollercoaster we call life?
YOU have the power to recreate your life. To rise like a phoenix from the ashes only, you can emerge from a catastrophe stronger, wiser, and more powerful than ever before.
But how do we get there?
John Quincy Adams once said, “some people in this world are born to serve, and if their actions inspire others to dream more, do more, and become more – they deserve to be a leader.” We need someone to guide us through how to make wishes and desires of the conscious mind and use that as a program to put the beliefs into the subconscious.
Once it has been planted into your program – without even thinking about it, it will take your mind in that direction. It will uplift you into your form of freedom, your passion, and purpose and power you up into greatness.
Former honorable military firefighter, transformed Mindset coach, and thought leader AJ Brown adopted a new change in his mindset after undergoing a series of obstacles battling life’s physical and mental damages. Using the hate and pain as fuel to ignite his power, the on-the-ground superhero powered up his mindset to ultimately shape his life in the best way possible.
Now he is devoting his life to elevating the perspective of those who lack what they desire most. From facing imposter syndrome to loving and forgiving themselves, Brown is on a mission to “infect people with positive energy and emotional support.”
Any superhero knows that the struggles, challenges, and obstacles it takes to succeed in life make success valuable. Nothing great comes easy, and nothing great can ever equate to greatness. However, when the firefighter went from saving the flame to helping others find theirs, the transformation allowed Brown to be a leading warrior. Guiding others to find their greatness led him to unearth his mental freedom.
Starting in his early 20s, AJ Brown entered the military with a warrior mindset. After he spent his time serving in Iraq as a decorated combat Firefighter, things suddenly took a turn for the worse. “Something was wrong with my mind. And the number of antidepressants and narcotic pain medication the military had me on – could put a horse to sleep,” explains Brown.
Three months after being released from the military on an Other-Than-Honorable Discharge (OTH), his life back flipped 180-degrees. “Between Zoloft for my PTSD, OxyContin for my pain, and Flexeril to relax my muscles and nerves, it was a perfect cocktail to sabotage my goals in life,” explained Brown.
“I went into a psychogenic fugue state of mind. I blacked out. I hurt someone, and my crime sent me to prison for three years. I lost everything,” shares Brown. At this moment in his life, his turning point arose. In 2014 he enrolled in college after getting out. He received an Associate of Science in Electrical Technology. He then studied at the Wentworth Institute of Technology and received a Bachelor of Science in Project Management.
By 2019, the pandemic hit, and with many other negative experiences, Brown started falling back into a negative behavioral loop. “I needed to get in control. I needed to stop the insanity,” he shares. But by changing one keystone habit – self-love and focusing on his health and well-being, his mind felt more precise than before after discovering his love for running. Brown explains, “I had to condition my body to train my mind, and realized that life is a marathon, not a sprint, and in the end, the race is only against yourself. The hate that I was letting ruin me turned into love.”
Even after everything that happened, what he felt he had lost; he’d gained back with just a simple positive mindset switch. “Life is what you make of it. You control your story. Don’t dwell in negativity. It will make you sick. Believe in yourself. Trust the process. It is all worth it,” shares Brown.
A mind shift is about breaking the obstacles, discovering your hidden potential, and searching for the unexpected. Sometimes a failure or mistake of your past helps you look at things differently. An eye-opening event turned into a fresh start, like a Phoenix rising from its ashes. Trust yourself. Trust the process.
“Don’t you deserve to have what you truly desire? Start your journey by becoming the best version of yourself,” says Brown passionately. “Life is never over. You just have to change your mindset and, most of all, forgive yourself!”
